The details such as name, address, email address are filed in our database under the school's ID for which the student took the test. A report of all placement tests undertaken for a specific school are available only to the school admin account user, from their admin centre, after logging on.
A student record is created for each placement test user which can be viewed in full only by the school admin user. The school policy will dictate what they do with that data (perhaps contact the placement test applicant as a potential student, or send them school marketing info). The school may then decide to delete the data or change that public placement test user into a full student record.
Optionally, according to the school configuration settings, an email could be sent to the school noting that an individual has taken the test. The responsibility to process or delete that email lies with the recipient.
Staff members do not access these records.
Only a registered user can ask a grammar doctor question. Depending on the school configuration settings, these questions can be sent either to the school admin user, a teacher or to platform staff. Optionally and email is sent detailing who has asked what, in order to notify that action is required. The recipient is responsible for deleting that email as required. Our staff remove those emails when the question has been answered.
A full history of all Grammar doctor questions asked by each student is kept in the database for the life of that student record (That is, until the school deletes the student record, or our staff are directed to do so).
All data is held in a secure database using hashing algorithms where possible to obfusticate or encrypt data where necessary. The raw database is not externally accessible via the web and all our server processes access the database locally only.
We do not keep any paper copies of data, and we do not provide our sensitive school data to any other company or service, either free or for financial reward. The platform hosts themselves do not use any student data for marketing or direct mailing.
